Ogilvy Africa has appointed Cathy Gathu as Managing Partner for its Advertising, Brand, and Content offering.

Gathu will begin her role on August 1st and will report to Vikas Mehta, CEO of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Gathu is a highly accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in brand strategy and integrated marketing communication.

She has held senior positions in various industries, including healthcare and finance, and has successfully led and grown a creative agency.

Cathy Gathu’s diverse experience has honed her expertise in brand strategy, research, campaign planning and execution, customer experience, digital marketing, and creative development.

She has been instrumental in identifying emerging trends and opportunities in the ever-evolving marketing landscape.

As Managing Partner, Gathu will apply her expertise to implement effective, integrated strategies that combine channels across advertising, social media, digital, and PR.

She will work closely with clients and colleagues to understand their business objectives and create united marketing solutions that achieve their goals.
