Beth Kihara and six others, petitioners who had filed a suit to liquidated the Africa Merchant Assurance Company (Amaco), an insurance firm, have withdrawn case through a registered consent.

“That by consent of both parties the Statutory Demand dated 3rd September 2019 and filed in court on 23rd August and the Petition dated 28th October 2019 and filed in court on 7th November 2019 against Africa Merchant Assurance Company Limited herein be and is hereby marked as withdrawn with no orders to costs,” read a notice in the Kenya Gazette published on Friday.

The consent was arrived at after the case was mentioned on the  22nd January 2020 before S. A. Opande, Deputy Registrar.
