The Central Bank of Kenya on Wednesday opened a new center in Kisii town easing the distribution of cash to counties in Nyanza region. The Centre will serve seven counties in the region (Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Bomet, Homa Bay, and parts of Narok and Kericho), a population of over 7 million people contributing about 12 percent of Kenya’s GDP. “This branch will offer currency and technology services to county governments and banks, thus support the economic growth of this region,” CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge said on Wednesday. Millions of Kenyans will be excluded from Huduma Namba if the new (National Integrated Identity Management System) NIIMS rules under the Registration of Persons Act and new Data Protection (Civil Registration) Regulations are implemented. Kenya’s 27-year-old Peres Jepchirchir broke her own world record in the women’s half marathon in  1:05:16 at the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships in Gdynia, Poland. She beat her previous best by 18 seconds, set in Prague on September 5. “It’s unbelievable,” said Jepchirchir. “My goal was to win this race.
