Kenya Airways has resumed daily non-stop flights to John F Kennedy Airport in New York, the company said on Monday.
“We have increased our frequencies to daily on the New York route because of high demand from passengers as we approach the summer season,” said the airline.

The higher demand is a positive signal for the hospitality sector, for which the US remains the largest overseas source market.
Kenya Airways commenced direct flights to JF Kennedy International Airport in New York from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in October 2018
Tourism earnings are projected to rise to Ksh 425 billion in 2023 according to the Tourism Research Institute, before increasing to Ksh 540 billion in 2027.
“Kenya’s hospitality sector has been on a sustained recovery trend, with the performance in terms of room occupancies and international arrivals trending to pre-COVID-19 levels,” Cytonn Investments says.
“As a result, Kenya is set to see the addition of 3,155 new hotel rooms from 2023, which will further stamp the country’s position as a global tourism hub within Sub-Saharan Africa, further driving the hospitality sector.”
Kenya Airways, a member of the Sky Team Alliance, flies to 42 destinations worldwide, 35 of which are in Africa and carries over four million passengers annually.
