Microblogging social media platform Twitter is now testing its  Edit Tweet feature.

“Tweets will be able to be edited a few times in the 30 minutes following their publication,” according to a Twitter blog post.

“Edited Tweets will appear with an icon, timestamp, and label, so it’s clear to readers that the original Tweet has been modified.”

“The test will be localized to a single country at first and expand as we learn and observe how people use Edit Tweet,” explains Twitter.

Other platforms that have the edit button include: Facebook, Instagram, Medium, among others.

Twitter Circle

In other news, Twitter has rolled out a feature similar to Instagram’s close friends that allow users to make select tweets visible to a small group of people.

Announcing the feature on Tuesday, Twitter said, “Some Tweets are for everyone, and others are just for people you’ve picked.”

“We’re now testing Twitter Circle, which lets you add up to 150 people who can see your Tweets when you want to share with a smaller crowd. Some of you can create your own Twitter Circle beginning today!” Twitter Safety tweeted.

First, you will choose up to 150 people, regardless of whether you follow them. Then, while twitting anything, select the Twitter Circle option to limit your tweet to only those you have selected.

“The users can edit the list of people that they have selected in ‘Twitter Circle’ anytime they want. Also, people will not be notified if you remove them,” said the company.
