Nairobi’s Villa Rosa Kempinski and Olare Mara Kempinski are about to lay off workers after issuing redundancy notices in line with its restructuring process, according to the hotel’s general manager Roberto Simone.
Simone says the process aims to achieve a consolidated team and position to maintain proper cost structures necessitated by reduced hotel occupancy and conferencing.
“The closure of our borders of international flights affected the number of foreign visitors into our country who account for over 80 percent of our business,” says Simone.
