The Championship season will be back on June 20, three days after the resumption of the Premier League.

The season will start with Brentford’s west London derby against Fulham on June 20 before league leaders clash with Cardiff a day later.

Second-placed West Brom will face Birmingham on the opening day with the result set to put pressure on Leeds who will have their game later on the day.

Every side in the Championship has nine games left to play of the regular season before the play-offs at the start of August, with matches to take place behind closed doors.

Leeds and West Brom are in the automatic promotion spots and on course for promotion, with the Baggies having the chance to climb into first when they play Birmingham on Saturday.

Other matches that weekend include Blackburn Rovers against Bristol City, Hull City’s relegation six-pointer with Charlton Athletic, and Preston’s trip to Luton Town.
