Ten more people have recovered from the coronavirus disease in Kenya, the Ministry of Health reported on Friday.
This brings to 22 the total number of recoveries after the ten tested negative twice.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe also confirmed five new cases on bringing the country total to 189.
The new cases according to the Health CS are all Kenyans and one has a history of travel from the UAE. Three are from Mombasa, while Nairobi and Nyandarua have one case each.
The cases range from between 27 and 58; three males, two females.

2, 054 contacts have been monitored to date with 1, 481 being cleared during the follow-up programs, whereas 6, 192 have been tested to date, the CS said.
“Indeed, our ways of life have changed dramatically. Good Friday would have been that special day when we congregate with family and friends. But this day is different,” Kagwe said.
“The true meaning of Easter is victory over death. Let’s rededicate ourselves to the fight of our times.”

Rwanda
Rwanda confirmed three more cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, bringing the total recorded positive cases to 113. The country has not recorded any deaths.
According to Rwanda’s Health Ministry, the new cases were diagnosed from 720 samples that were collected.
Uganda
Uganda’s Ministry of Health in a statement on Thursday announced that: “All the 53 confirmed COVID-19 cases are in stable condition at Mulago National Specialised Hospital (20), Entebbe Grade B Hospital (31), Adjumani (1) and Hoima (1) hospitals.
“Three cases have tested negative twice after treatment and are being considered for discharge by clinicians,” the Director General Health Services, Dr Henry Mwebesa said in a statement.
A cumulative of 3,862 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in Uganda.
Tanzania
Tanzania’s confirmed cases have risen from 25 to 32 on Friday with three recorded deaths, according to a statement by Tanzania’s Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children.
The rise is a result of five new cases of Tanzanian men who were recorded in the commercial capital Dar es Salaam and two new cases were reported from Zanzibar, said the statement.
