Nominations for the 2020 Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) opened February, aiming to recognise and celebrate outstanding bloggers in different categories.
The nominations will remain open until 20th March 2020. The annual blogging competition is in its 9th year.
Categories include:

- Food Blog
- Environmental Blog
- Fashion and Style Blog
- Agricultural Blog
- New Blog
- Corporate Blog
- Topical Blog
- Entertainment Blog
- Education Blog
- Travel Blog
- Public Health Blog
- County Blog
- Religious or Spirituality Blog
- Lifestyle Blog
- Beauty and Hair Blog
- Video Blog (Vlog)
- Podcasts
- Social Issues and Active Citizenship Blog

The timeline this year is as follows:
- Submissions phase –1st Feb- 20th March 2020
- Judging phase – 23rd March -20th April 2020
- Online voting – 21st April – 31st May 2020
- Winners’ Gala event – 27th June 2020
“We will be accepting submissions in the various categories. Judges will decide the best 5 nominees from the submitted blogs and then they will be voted for by the public. Thereafter, the winners will be awarded at a gala event in June,” announced BAKE.
