Loss-making power distributor, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), is set to reduce its workforce by 20 per cent as it struggles to return to profitability. Coca-Cola’s quarterly earnings and revenue beat analysts’ expectations reporting higher volume sales than in pre-pandemic 2019. Eveready East Africa reported a KSh 34.7 Million loss for the year ended September 30th 2021 compared to a net loss of KSh 69 Million over a similar period in 2020. The company said this was a 49 per cent improvement in the delayed financial results. Kenya’s biggest telecoms operator Safaricom and Showmax, an online subscription video-on-demand service have plugged into each other’s subscriber bases in a new partnership announced Tuesday.  From the deal, customers will be able to watch their favourite, wide variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, documentaries, Showmax Originals, kids shows, sport and more for two months of streaming for the price of one.
