Loss-making power distributor, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), is set to reduce its workforce by 20 per cent as it struggles to return to profitability. Eveready East Africa reported a KSh 34.7 Million loss for the year ended September 30th 2021 compared to a net loss of KSh 69 Million over a similar period in 2020. Kenya’s biggest telecoms operator Safaricom and Showmax, an online subscription video-on-demand service have plugged into each other’s subscriber bases in a new partnership announced Tuesday.
