CANAL+ says SuperSport will broadcast the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games live across Sub Saharan Africa. DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv and GOtv Stream Access customers will get full access to the eleven day event, which runs from 23 July to 2 August 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland.
In South Africa, CANAL+ Africa supplies the SuperSport channels to licence holder MultiChoice, which then delivers the DStv service to subscribers.
More Than 500 African Athletes Head To Scotland
More than 500 athletes from across the continent are set to compete in Glasgow, making this edition one of the most anticipated in recent memory. SuperSport will carry the action across all eleven days in its usual broadcast quality, giving fans a front row seat to every major moment.
Two dedicated channels will anchor the coverage, splitting attention between headline events and a curated feed built specifically around Africa’s medal contenders. Overflow channels on linear and streaming platforms will pick up additional events so nothing gets lost in the schedule. A third channel, running on SuperSport Maximo 2 and 3, will focus solely on Mozambican athletes.

Glasgow will host ten sports and six para sports across four venues that have become synonymous with the city’s sporting identity: Scotstoun Stadium, the Scottish Event Campus, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and Arena, and Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
