Ben Roberts, Group Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Liquid Telecom since 2017, is stepping down from his role.
“Well, after 22 years, it is with immense excitement, and some sadness, that it is time to move on from this great company Liquid Intelligent Technologies,” Roberts wrote on his LinkedIn page.
“I’m proud to have built and led great teams, and with the great work from those teams, built great products, and perhaps the greatest network in Africa.”
Roberts has been instrumental in driving Liquid Telecom’s technology strategy and expansion across Africa.
With over two decades of experience in technology design, support, integration, and operational management, Roberts has led the group’s networking and product strategy. He served as CEO of Liquid Telecom Kenya from 2013 to 2017, overseeing integration and business transformation.
In his current role, Roberts has focused on innovation, digital transformation, and launching new technologies and products. He has also been actively involved in STEM education as a Board Committee Member of Young Scientists Kenya (YSK).
Prior to joining Liquid Telecom, Roberts worked at Ericsson UK Limited and Lotus Cars in engineering roles. He holds a BSc in Hons Physics from the University of Bristol.
