OPPO has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Find X8, for the global market. The company is planning to introduce this series to the Kenyan market soon.

A Focus on Photography

The Find X8 series is primarily a camera-centric lineup. The base model boasts a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring:

  • A 50MP main camera with OIS and 2x optical zoom
  • A 50MP 73mm periscope telephoto camera with OIS, dual-prism technology, and 3x optical zoom (6x digital zoom)
  • A 50MP 15mm ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view and AI super-resolution up to 120x zoom

Both the rear and 32MP front-facing cameras can record 4K video at 60fps. OPPO’s HyperTone image engine enhances clarity and dynamic range, while Hasselblad Portrait Mode and Live Photo are included.

Powerful Performance and Sleek Design

The Find X8 is powered by the Dimensity 9400 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15.

The 6.59-inch LTPO OLED display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and up to 4500 nits of peak brightness. The device is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and is IP68/69 rated for water and dust resistance.

Other notable features include stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a 5630mAh battery with 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Kenya Launch and Pricing

OPPO Kenya has confirmed that the Find X8’s base model will be available in the Kenyan market, likely in early 2025. The specific pricing and availability details will be announced closer to the launch date.

“We are excited to bring the Find X8 series to Kenya, offering our customers a powerful and stylish smartphone experience,” said Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager, OPPO Kenya.

“This device represents the pinnacle of smartphone technology, and we believe it will be a hit with Kenyan consumers.”
