Stanbic Bank Kenya has launched its Asset Management business with two investment products: the Stanbic Money Market Fund (KES) and the Stanbic Fixed Income Fund (USD).

These funds offer Kenyans accessible, low-risk investment opportunities with the potential for attractive returns.

Key Features of the New Funds

Stanbic Money Market Fund (KES)
  • Denominated in Kenyan Shillings.
  • Offers an annualized yield of 15.12%.
  • Minimum investment of KES 1,000.
  • Ideal for investors seeking stable returns and high liquidity.
Stanbic Fixed Income Fund (USD)
  • Denominated in US Dollars.
  • Provides an annualized yield of 5.56%.
  • Minimum investment of USD 100.
  • Suitable for investors looking to hedge against currency fluctuations and diversify their portfolios.

Both funds are managed by SBG Securities Limited, a subsidiary of Stanbic Holdings Plc, ensuring expert management and oversight.

The launch of these funds marks Stanbic Bank Kenya’s entry into asset management, expanding its suite of financial services and solidifying its position as a one-stop financial hub.

This strategic move aligns with the bank’s commitment to providing tailored investment solutions that cater to the specific needs of its clients.

“By strengthening our capital markets and offering accessible investment products, we aim to mobilize domestic savings and investments,” Dr Joshua Oigara, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Kenya and South Sudan, says.

The new funds offer investors a secure and profitable way to diversify their portfolios, with expert management, regulatory oversight, and low-risk features.

The Stanbic Money Market Fund (KES) charges up to 2% in management fees, while the Stanbic Fixed Income Fund (USD) has a management fee of up to 1%. These fees cover professional management costs, including research, trading, and administration.

Both funds are available to existing and new Stanbic Bank clients, making them accessible to a wide range of investors.
