Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has announced a new three-year partnership with FC Barcelona, one of the world’s most prestigious football clubs.

The announcement was unveiled through a creative social media video on HMD and FC Barcelona’s channels. The video showcases FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal sporting an intricate hairstyle featuring the club’s crest alongside the HMD logo, shaved by his hairdresser Saul Peregrina.

This two-hour masterpiece symbolizes the new partnership and offers a glimpse of the sleek Blue Topaz HMD Skyline smartphone, highlighting both brands’ commitment to innovation and style.

Building Brand Awareness Through a Global Sports Giant

This partnership strengthens HMD’s position in the competitive mobile phone market by aligning with a global sporting icon like FC Barcelona. This strategy follows their successful viral TikTok video where star hairdresser Saul Peregrina created a similar design on fan Iñigo, after his previous 7.5 million-view haircut for Lamine Yamal.

More Than Football

The agreement designates HMD as a Global Partner of FC Barcelona and an Official Mobile Phone Partner. The focus is to raise brand awareness through digital advertising opportunities at the Olympic Stadium and the soon-to-be-reopened Spotify Camp Nou. The partnership extends beyond football, encompassing FC Barcelona’s basketball, futsal, handball, and roller hockey teams.
