Bata Kenya has opened two new stores in Meru, marking a significant expansion in the region.

The new outlets, located at Makutano and Greenwood Mall, bring the total number of Bata stores in Meru to six.

This expansion underscores Bata’s commitment to providing customers with quality and stylish footwear while supporting the local economy. The new stores offer the latest footwear collections at affordable prices.

Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu, South African High Commissioner to Kenya, praised Bata’s contribution to the local economy and job creation.

John Ngoru, Bata’s Regional Human Resources Director, highlighted the company’s growth plans and focus on customer satisfaction.

“We remain confident in our expansion plans and see plenty of growth opportunities. Our mission at Bata is to offer quality, stylish, and affordable footwear.”

Bata’s aggressive expansion strategy involves opening a total of 13 new stores in 2024, increasing its retail network to 121 stores nationwide. The company currently employs over 100 people in Meru.
