Radio Africa Group has appointed Martin Khafafa as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Khafafa, a seasoned media executive with over two decades of experience at RAG, takes the helm of the leading media and entertainment company in East and Central Africa.

He was previously the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He takes over from the outgoing CEO, Patrick Quarcoo, who stepped down after 24 years of service.

Quarcoo, the founder of Radio Africa Group, expressed gratitude for the team’s contributions and expressed confidence in Khafafa’s ability to lead the company forward.

“I am confident that the new leadership team will drive the needed changes with the same passion and commitment that we have always upheld. They are well-equipped to take the company forward, leveraging our strong foundation to achieve even greater success,” Quarcoo said on July 24, to the Radio Africa Group Board of Trustees.

The group operates a diverse portfolio of media brands including popular radio stations like Kiss FM, Classic 105, and Radio Jambo, as well as the influential newspaper, The Star.

The company has expanded its footprint to include operations in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.

Khafafa, instrumental in building several of RAG’s flagship brands, is poised to steer the company into a new era of growth and innovation.
