Glovo has appointed Daphne Kabeberi as its Impact and Sustainability Lead for Africa. This strategic move underscores Glovo’s commitment to shaping a robust social impact strategy across the continent.

Kabeberi brings over 20 years of experience in championing the welfare of underserved communities. Her expertise spans skills training, fundraising, advocacy, and rural electrification, across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.

Driving Sustainability Across Africa

In her new role, Kabeberi will be instrumental in driving Glovo’s sustainability agenda. She will ensure the company’s operations and initiatives contribute meaningfully to social and environmental well-being across Africa.

Prior to joining Glovo, Kabeberi served as Program Lead and Partnership Manager at Tunapanda Institute. There, she designed and managed training programs to prepare digital workers from underprivileged communities for dignified jobs.

Additionally, as Lead Sustainability Engineer at Endustrial Support, she successfully implemented “Green Key” eco-label standards for a leading hotel. This resulted in optimized energy and water use, reduced carbon footprint, and significant annual savings.

Kabeberi’s diverse expertise and unwavering dedication to sustainability and community development make her a valuable asset to Glovo. She will play a key role in strengthening the company’s impact and sustainability strategies in Africa.
