iZola, a health-tech startup focused on solutions for parents of neurodivergent children, has appointed Dr. Leah Kirumbi as its Chief Medical Advisor.
Dr. Kirumbi is a highly respected figure in maternal and child healthcare, with over 30 years of experience in East Africa. Notably, she performed Kenya’s first in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure in 2004.
Beyond her professional experience, Dr. Kirumbi brings a unique personal perspective. As a primary caregiver for a neurodivergent child for over 40 years, she understands the challenges these families face.
This combination of expertise and personal connection is a strategic asset for iZola, according to CEO Dr. Wamuyu Owotoki.
