TikTok’s innovative “Add to Music App” feature is now available in 163 new countries, including 41 across Sub-Saharan Africa.

This expansion allows music lovers to seamlessly save songs discovered on TikTok to their preferred streaming service.

Effortless Music Discovery and Saving

The Add to Music App allows users to save a song directly from a TikTok video for instant gratification.

Look for the “Add Song” button next to the track name at the bottom of the video. With a single tap, you can choose your preferred streaming service (availability may vary).

Flexibility for Your Music

The song will be saved to a default playlist within your chosen service.

However, you can add it to a new or existing playlist. After your first use, the selected service becomes your default for future saves, but you can easily switch it anytime in settings.

The “Add to Music App” functionality extends beyond videos. For convenience, you can access it directly from an artist’s Sound Detail Page.

“Add to Music App” enhances the music discovery experience for users and artists. Fans gain a streamlined way to save favourite tracks, while artists benefit from increased exposure and potential for new fans. As Isaac Bess, TikTok’s Global Head of Distribution Partnerships, states.

“We are excited to bring this feature to millions more, offering wider music discovery, consumption, and artist growth opportunities.”
