The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), a biennial African association football tournament, kicked off on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The hosts defeated Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in the opening match at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, which will also host the final on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
