In 2022, Rusty Nail was born. What started as a dream to share her passion with the world quickly blossomed into a thriving business. Unlike traditional bars, Rusty Nail brings the party directly to clients, offering a bespoke cocktail experience tailored to their specific needs and preferences. Whether it’s a lavish wedding celebration or an intimate gathering, Tara and her team weave magic with their innovative cocktails and personalized service.

“We hyper-customize our menus,” she says. “If a client wants all-gin cocktails with yellow florals and a fruity taste, that’s what they’ll get. Their menu will be yellow and pink, their cocktails will be adorned with edible flowers, and they’ll be the perfect blend of sweet and refreshing.”

“I think our favourite cocktail might be the strawberry basil smash. Choose an orange and thyme cocktail.”

“Another thing we tried to do was make our cocktails Instagrammable. Umm! So that the clients are free to take pictures and share them with their friends. And you find that easier because pretty cocktails are also tastier and more fun to drink.”

“I’m excited about this partnership because it allows us to showcase the versatility of gin and inspire others to experiment with their cocktail creations,” Tara says.

“At Rusty Nails, we’re intentional with every cocktail we create for Gilbeys. We want to change the perception that Gilbeys is just a casual drink. It’s something you can enjoy in any situation, play with, and truly savour.”

Running a mobile cocktail bar is no easy feat. From logistical hurdles like transporting equipment to ensuring a steady supply of ice, Tara faces challenges that many traditional bar owners wouldn’t encounter. However, she approaches every obstacle with a positive attitude and a determined spirit. 

“We’ve had our share of challenges,” she admits, “but we’ve always found a way to overcome them. We’re a resourceful and adaptable team, and that’s what makes Rusty Nail unique.”
