Safaricom’s Good to Be Home’ campaign aims to increase the demand for home internet by highlighting the various fixed internet solutions and value-added services that enhance the home experience.

One of the new offerings is the Family Share plan, which combines home fibre with mobile voice, data, and SMS in a single package.

This allows customers to enjoy seamless connectivity at home and on the move.

Family Share plans

Customers can choose from three Family Share plans, depending on their needs and budget. For an extra KES 800 on their current Home Fibre plan, they get 8GB, 400 minutes, and 1,000 SMS.

For an extra KES 1,800, they get 17GB, 1,000 minutes, and 2,000 SMS. For an extra KES 2,700, they get 27GB, 1,500 minutes, and 3,000 SMS.

All Family Share plans include free WhatsApp and can be shared with up to five household members.

“Our Home Internet journey started as a response to our customers’ need for fast and reliable connectivity at home. With the changing digital lifestyles, our latest offerings leverage our network coverage to cater to our customers’ evolving needs both in and out of the home,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom PLC.

Up to 60% Off on Routers

Customers who live in areas where fibre is not available can also access home internet through 4G and 5G Wi-Fi routers.

Safaricom has reduced the price of 4G routers from KES 6,999 to KES 2,999, while 5G routers are now available at KES 9,999 for customers in 5G zones.

The ‘Feels Good to Be Home’ campaign also introduces SecureNet, an online security service that protects users from online threats. It offers features such as anti-phishing, anti-virus, parental control, and quiet time settings.

The Safaricom 5G network is present in Bomet, Busia, Isiolo, Kitui, Mandera, Migori, Tharaka-Nithi, Trans Nzoia, Homa Bay, West Pokot, Embu, Kirinyaga, Muranga and Turkana.

Other counties include Nairobi, Kiambu, Mombasa, Kisumu, Uasin Gishu, Nakuru, Garissa, Kajiado, Kisii, Machakos, Kakamega, Kilifi, Siaya, Kericho, Kwale, Laikipia, Marsabit, Meru, Narok, Nyeri and Vihiga.
