Kenya Airways will resume non-stop flights from Nairobi to Mogadishu, Somalia, starting on February 14, 2024.
The flights were suspended in August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to KQ, it will operate three flights per week to Mogadishu, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, at a starting price of USD 1050 (Sh160,751).

The flight time will be one hour and 45 minutes. The airline said the resumption of the flights is part of its network expansion strategy and commitment to enhance connectivity across the African continent and foster trade and investment for sustained growth.
Julius Thairu, the Chief Commercial and Customer Officer of Kenya Airways, said the airline is eager to re-establish the link between Mogadishu and Nairobi and provide high-quality service for its customers.
The airline has also resumed direct flights to Bangkok, Thailand, after three years of suspension.
