Bolt, a leading mobility company, says its operating license in Kenya has been renewed by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).
The mobility company says it results from its commitment to the Kenyan market, reinforcing its reputation as an affordable, safe, and reliable platform.
The license renewal also demonstrates Bolt’s “…resolve to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and service excellence within the industry,” it said in an emailed statement.
Country Manager Linda Ndungu expressed her satisfaction with the renewal of the Bolt licence, stating:
“This accomplishment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing viable earning opportunities for drivers on our platform and delivering reliable and cost-efficient services to our customers. It also reaffirms our steadfast commitment to ensuring a secure platform for all users.”

On the other hand, Bolt has suspended the booking fee pending clarification with NTSA on the interpretation of the regulation on this matter.
Meanwhile, it maintains its commission structure, strictly adhering to the regulatory requirement of capping it at 18%.
