Kenya Cane, the flagship brand of Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), celebrated the culture and talent of Kitui at The Greats’ Fest on Saturday, August 12th.

The event, held at Password Lounge, featured live music, food and drinks, and an award ceremony for two local achievers.

The Greats’ Fest is part of Kenya Cane’s Greats Toast Twice campaign, which aims to recognize and reward Kenyans who are pursuing their dreams and making a difference in their communities.

The campaign invites consumers to nominate themselves or others on Mbaitu FM and social media and select two winners for each event.

The winners for the Kitui edition were Elizabeth Wambua and Herbert Malack, who received prizes from Kenya Cane for their outstanding work.

They also got to enjoy the performances by some of Kitui’s finest artists, such as Simply Yaba, Karanga Lazima, DJ Mwavos, MC Joe Joe and MC Tarrus.

The crowd was also surprised by a guest appearance by Savara Mudigi, who joined Yaba on stage and entertained the audience with his rhumba cane music.

Davis Changalwa, Brand Manager of Kenya Cane, said that The Greats’ Fest is a way to celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Kenya and to give consumers an authentic Kenya Cane experience.

He added that the brand will host similar events across the country, featuring local music and food paired with the legendary Kenyan spirit.

The Greats’ Fest has already been held in Nakuru, Thika, Kisumu, and Mombasa, and will continue to showcase the talent and diversity of Kenya’s regions.

The brand is also partnering with Grammy-acclaimed artists Savara Mudigi, Coster Ojwang’, Simply Yaba, Akoth Jumadi, and Zawadi Nyong’o to create content and inspire consumers to toast twice to their greatness with Kenya Cane.
