Spotify is bringing DJ, a feature that delivers music and commentary tailored to your taste, to Kenya.

DJ is a beta feature that uses Spotify’s personalization technology, generative AI, and a dynamic voice to create a unique listening experience.

You can hear English commentary from Spotify’s own Xavier “X” Jernigan as the first voice model for DJ.

“Never before has listening felt so completely personal to each and every user, thanks to the powerful combination of Spotify’s personalization technology, generative AI and a dynamic, expressive voice. At launch, listeners will have the option to hear English language commentary from our initial voice model, Spotify’s own Head of Cultural Partnerships, Xavier “X” Jernigan as the first voice model for the DJ.

To try DJ, open the Spotify app on your iOS or Android device and tap Play on DJ in your Music Feed on Home.

DJ is available in Kenya and other markets including Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Barbuda, Belize, Botswana, Burundi, Canada, Dominica, Eswatini, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Malta, Marshall Islands, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Tonga, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
