SAP, the market leader in enterprise application software, has appointed Kholiwe Makhohliso, a seasoned technology executive, as its Managing Director for Southern Africa.
With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector and previous leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, Kholiwe Makhohliso brings valuable expertise to SAP’s business.
Sergio Maccotta, Senior Vice-President for Middle East South and Africa at SAP, says Makhohliso’s expertise in technology and leadership will be a valuable asset as the region transitions to more agile and resilient business processes.
Makhohliso is passionate about education and youth skills development and serves as the Chairperson of the Sparrow Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and learning opportunities to disadvantaged South African youth.
“This is an exciting time to join SAP as the organization takes significant strides in its cloud leadership journey, embracing the potential of AI and sustainability in the Southern African marketplace,” says Kholiwe Makhohliso.

Kholiwe holds a Bachelor of accounting science degree from the University of the Transkei and has completed several other executive and leadership programmes.
