Chicken pizza is the most popular pizza flavour, with over 15,960 deliveries, followed by Pepperoni and Margarita, according to 2022 consumption trends by Glovo in Kenya.

Data shows that Kenyans are big fans of Chicken Pizza, and in 12 months, they have ordered more than 135,000 pizzas through Glovo.

Glovo delivered 370 pizzas per day, or 15 pizzas per hour in the country. The golden minute consumption was on Huduma day, on 10th October, at 14:48h, where 36 pizzas were ordered at that particular minute.

Tuesday was the day with the highest pizza consumption, accounting for 33% of the total orders, followed by Sundays as the second most in-demand option, with 17% of the total.

This could be attributed to the fact that on Tuesdays and Thursdays, there is the buy one get one free offer where several Glovo partners offer 2×1 deals, making it the perfect day for people to order pizza.

“Glovo has partnered with key pizza outlets to support the growth of the delivery industry. We are seeing more customers opt to make their orders online, as evidenced by the number of pizzas we have delivered in the last 12 months,” says Caroline Mutuku, General Manager of Glovo Kenya.

Nairobi and Mombasa were the top two cities with the highest pizza consumption, while the user who ordered the most pizzas placed 124 orders during this one year.
