France beat Denmark 2-1 thanks to a brace by Kylian Mbappe to be the first team to qualify for the round of 16.

The PSG star steered the French to register a crucial win that sees the world champions progress to the round of 16.

Didier Deschamps’ side began the second half bright after a series of wasted opportunities in the first half and got the opener in the 61st minute when Mbappe played a brilliant one-two with Theo Hernandez and found the back of the net.

The Danes got back into the match minutes later from Barcelona’s defender Andreas Christensen with a powerful header from Joachim Andersen’s corner kick.

Les Bleus found the winner in the 86th minute when Mbappe met Antoine Griezmann’s cross and put the ball into the net for his second goal of the game.
