Chelsea came from behind to snatch a late 2-1 win over London rivals West Ham United.

The Hammers looked set to grab vital points at Stamford Bridge before substitutes Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz earned the Blues a hard-fought win.

Chelsea began dominating the game right from the off, keeping hold of the ball as West Ham was happy to sit back, soak up the pressure, and hit on the break.

In the second half, the Hammers came out fighting showing a lot more attacking intent, with new signing Lucas Paquetá and Michail Antonio looking particularly dangerous.

The pressure would pay off in the 62nd minute when Jarred Bowen’s corner was not cleared, and Édouard Mendy flapped at the ball, allowing it to drop to Declan Rice, who squared it to Antonio for a simple tap-in.

Tuchel would then send in Chilwell and Havertz, who would repay the manager’s faith with two late goals.

Hammers thought they had snatched a late equalizer when Maxwell Cornet put the ball in the net but after a lengthy VAR review, his equaliser was ruled out for a foul on Mendy, giving Chelsea all three points.

Elsewhere, Brentford’s Ivan Toney put Leeds United to the sword with a hattrick that helped his side win 5-2. Bournemouth claimed a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest as David Podence’s solitary strike gave Wolves the win over Southampton at the Molineux Stadium.
