Disruptive Media, an independent Kenyan creative company, has fully acquired Life in Mombasa, a lifestyle blog showcasing history, culture, and modern-day life in Mombasa City.

Founded in 2015, Life In Mombasa showcases the coastal city through photography and personal blogs to show the world its rich, vibrant culture, historical monuments, and beautiful city.

“We plan to expand on what is already a successful platform to include a number of disruptive topics,” Chief Disruptor at Disruptive Media, Ahmad Salim, says. 

“We want to inspire conversations that inspire change and ultimately increase readership. It’s part of our long-term strategy to provide innovative and cost-effective media to our ever-growing list of clients.”

Ms Jamila Hassan founded Life in Mombasa. The platform has won the Best County Blog in the Blogger Association of Kenya (BAKE) Awards 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Disruptive Media has offices in Nairobi, Dar-es-Salaam and Kampala, with plans to open in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
