Little Cab, Kenya’s fastest-growing ride-hailing company, on Monday said it has expanded operations in Ethiopia. 

Its initial plans had been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“LittleApp is happy to announce that we are now fully operational in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Thanks to our team in Ethiopia …,” LittleApp Chief Operating Officer Niladri Roy shared the news on LinkedIn.

In Ethiopia, Kamal Budhabhatti the Chief Executive Officer of Little, in 2021 had disclosed that they would invest $5 million in the next five years.

“When we saw Safaricom heading to Ethiopia, we got the courage to get there. It is a large market and we see an opportunity to extend our services there,” Mr Budhabatti told The East African.

The company also operates in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia.

Little App runs on iOS, Android, and Windows devices. The app accepts cash and card transactions for payment. It also provides live GPS enabled maps for pickups.
