Disney+ to Launch in South Africa and 5 North African States

Disney+, the streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, will launch in 42 countries and 11 new territories.

In Africa, it will be in South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco,  and Tunisia.

Other countries include Albania, Andorra, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City and Yemen.

The regions will enjoy exclusive original content, episodes and movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and general entertainment from Star.

In November 2021, the streaming service has 118 million subscribers, up only 2 million from last quarter ended Sept. 30.
