Kenya bagged five awards at All Africa Music Awards on Sunday night at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. The annual event was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage.
Nikita Kering scooped two awards at this year’s gala award, the Best Female Artiste East Africa and Best Artiste, Duo/Group in African RnB and Soul categories.
Sauti Sol emerged winners as the Best Group in Africa, while Rash Band bagged the Best in African Rock award.

Shanah Manjeru became the youngest winner after she was named the Best African Female Artist in the Inspirational Music category.
