Dustin Poirier got the win over Conor McGregor via TKO after the Irishman broke his ankle at the end of round one.
In the much anticipated trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, Poirier got the win via TKO after McGregor broke his ankle.
McGregor began the fight brightly, attacking Poirier with several kicks with Poirier responding with a couple of punches and kicks. The Diamond would then get McGregor to the mat with a takedown which the Irishman countered and set his rival into a guillotine.
Poirier eased from the choke and began landing significant punches and elbows on the Notorious who kicked repeatedly from the ground. As the two got from the ground and back on their feet, the Irishman’s leg would give in with his ankle breaking which had the match ended via doctor stoppage.
In the co-main event, Gilbert Burns got a unanimous decision win over Stephen Thompson.
In the heavyweight division, Tai Tuivasa got a first round knockout win over Greg Hardy.
