Czech Republic shock the Netherlands beating them 2-0 to advance to quarter finals.
The match saw Matthijs de Ligt sent off after a VAR review for handling the ball denying a goal-scoring opportunity.
The Oranje began the match brightly creating chances and dominating the better part of the first half.
In the second half, the Dutch continued their dominance and almost went ahead when Donyell Malen went on a fantastic run and with only the keeper to beat hesitated and allowed Tomáš Vaclík to smartly smother the ball.
The Dutch would rue the missed opportunity minutes later when de Ligt got sent off. With the numbers advantage, the Czechs began dictating the flow of the game and got ahead minutes later when Tomáš Kalas found room in the penalty box to connect with a nicely struck free kick and headed the ball to Tomáš Holeš, who did brilliantly to nod the ball into the net.
Patrick Schick then sealed the tie on the 80 minute mark with a lovely finish in the bottom left hand corner.
The result sees the Czech Republic travel to Baku to face Denmark in a quarter-final rematch from Euro 2004.
