Spain secured their spot in the last 16 of Euro 2020 with a 5-0 thumping over Slovakia to set up a clash with Croatia in Copenhagen.
The Spaniards began brightly and were awarded a penalty in the 10th minute which Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka did well to keep off Alvaro Morata’s attempt.
The Slovakian goalkeeper would move from hero to villain in the later on when a comical attempt to clear the ball would see him parry the ball into his own net.
Aymeric Laporte made it 2-0 just before half-time and shortly after the break Pablo Sarabia added a third.
Spain’s fourth goal was the standout moment of the game, with Ferran Torres finishing off an excellent team move via a back-heel.
Pau Torres was another late sub, and he forced the fifth with Juraj Kucka turning the defender’s goalbound header over the line.
Enrique’s side will now face Croatia in Copenhagen on Monday after Viktor Claesson scored a later winner for Sweden which saw them top Group E.
