Germany came out on top at the end of a six-goal thriller against Portugal at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Portugal went ahead in the first half with Cristiano Ronaldo finishing off a brilliant counter attack from a pass by Diogo Jota. It was Ronaldo’s first goal against Germany and his 107th international goal.

The Germans rallied and got back into the match after Ruben Dias put the goal into his own net from a Robin Gosens’ cross.

Joachim Low’s side took the lead five minutes later from another own-goal after Borussia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro turned Joshua Kimmich’s cross into his net.

The Germans continued to dictate the game and made it 3-1 after the break when Gosens cross was tapped in by Chelsea’s Kai Havertz. Gosens got into the scoresheet minutes later when he headed in Kimmich’s cross.

Liverpool’s Diogo Jota reduced the deficit when he tapped in Ronaldo’s cutback to make it 4-2.

The Germans held on and got the win to set-up an all-to-play for in the final match of the group.
