Lucille Aveva, a customer experience excellence champion and guru has been appointed Safaricom Director, Customer Obsession.

Her appointment took effect May 1 this year. 

Lucille has been working for Eselle Group Consulting Company which she founded and has led since 2016.

“Lucille will be responsible for leading our ongoing Customer Obsession programme and coordinate implementation of the various initiatives identified,” the company’s CEO Peter Ndegwa said in a memo to employees.

She has over 20 years of experience across various roles in the hospitality, banking and telecommunications sectors. 

She has worked as a Head Alliances & Strategic Partners, Africa Company for Standard Chartered Bank (2015-2016), Director of Sales and Marketing, East Africa (supporting Southern Africa)-The Regus Group (2014), Airtel Kenya as Director, Platinum & Enterprise (2011 -2013). 

She has also worked for Absa Bank Kenya formerly Barclays, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Sarova Hotels.

Sylvia Mulinge, the Chief Customer Officer at Safaricom
