Stuart Dallas scored in each half to give Leeds United a crucial win over league leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The visitors took the lead in first half through Dallas minutes before Andre Marriner sent off Liam Copper for a challenge on Gabriel Jesus after a review of the pitchside monitor.

Pep Guardiola cut a frustrated self at the touchline as he watched his side struggle to break down a resilient Leeds side that kept his side away from goal.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus could not break down the opposition’s line of defence despite a flurry of chances created in the second half.

Ferran Torres got the league leaders back into the match when the Spanish winger put the ball past the net after meeting a pass from substitute Bernado Silva.

City pushed forward looking for a winner that would continue their chase for this season’s title win but Marcelo Biesla’s side kept them at bay.

Ederson Morales had a big moment in the match when he saved a one-on-one chance against Rapinha who was running clear on goal only for the goalkeeper to clear the ball from the attacker’s feet.

Dallas would seal the three points for the visitors when he raced onto a ball from midfield and put the ball into the net to hand Guardiola his fourth loss of the league.

The win leaves Leeds in ninth with forty five points. City remain at the summit of the table with seventy four points.
