Fatuma Zarika won the vacant World Boxing Federation title via unanimous decision over Zimbabwe’s Patience Mastara.

‘Iron Fist’ Zarika is the new World Boxing Federation female featherweight champion.

Zarika beat Zimbabwe’s Patience Mastara via unanimous decision on Friday night in Dar es Salaam.

The former World Boxing Council (WBC) world female champion scored 97- 93, 98-92 and 99-91.

Speaking after the bout, the 35-year-old Zarika said:

‘It feels great to be back after one year with the victory. I want to thank Jackson Group for giving me a second chance for a world belt. I hope to defend the belt next year as I seek quality bouts.’
