Richarlison sees red as Everton come from behind twice to draw against Liverpool.

Everton came into the match with a spirited feel and belief that they would get the better of their rivals.

It only took three minutes for Sadio Mane to announce his return in the squad when he was at the end of a wonderful attack that saw the ball sprayed out to Andy Robertson, who after making a mess of Seamus Coleman crosses low for Mane to dispatch inside the box.

There were shouts for a red card when Pickford lunged on Van Djik but the referee waved on. The towering defender would limp off minutes later to be replaced by Joe Gomez.

Everton would pull a goal back when Keane glanced in a goal from Rodriguez’s corner.

The two sides would create half-chances on each end but no final finish.

In the second half, Pickford was called to action to deny efforts from Mane, Trent-Alexander and Salah.

Salah would send the Reds ahead when he latched on a half-cleared ball and released a one-time shot that Pickford could not get to.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin would get his seventh goal of the season when he rose highest to meet Digne’s cross to pull Everton back.

Everton would be reduced to ten men when a rash and reckless challenge on Thiago by Richarlison would see Mike Oliver send the Brazilian off.

Liverpool thought they had won it deep into stoppage time when Thiago found Mane in the box who would square the ball to Henderson to send a shot at Pickford who parried it into his own net. A review by VAR judged Mane to have been offside.
