Safaricom announced a Ksh 2 Million sponsorship as the official communications sponsor of the Kip Keino Classic, part of the World Athletics Continental Tour to be held at Nyayo National Stadium.
Other events have already taken place in Finland, Hungary and Japan.
The Ksh2 Million sponsorship will cover a fully kitted media center and high-speed internet connectivity for the event. Over 700 local and international athletes are expected to take part in the Saturday event which will be broadcasted live on local TV.

The World Athletics Continental 2020 Tour is a series of one-day meetings categorized into Gold, Bronze, and Silver levels determined by the quality of competition and prize money on offer.
The Kip-Keino classic has been named in honour of Kenya’s legendary athlete Kipchoge Keino will host elite athletes from 30 countries in the largest athletics event in Africa and one of 7 events in the Global World Athletics circuit outside the Diamond League.
