Everton set to seal the signings of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid

Everton look to seal the signing of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

The Blues half of Merseyside look to sign the Columbian playmaker from the Spanish giants Madrid.

Reports indicate that the terms of the deal were in final discussions on Tuesday evening with the Columbian set to join the Premier League side.

Rodriguez joined Real Madrid after a steering Columbia to an impressive World Cup campaign in 2014.

The former Monaco star fell out favor at the Bernabeu and was twice sent out on loan for two seasons with Bayern Munich.

Despite being handed chances to impress by Zinedine Zidane, it is now clear his future remains away from the LaLiga champions, and Goodison Park could prove his next destination.

Rodriguez has played under current Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti at both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, with a strong working relationship previously appearing to hold a great deal of weight for the Colombian.
