Lyon’s Memphis Depay indicates that he is not sure if he will remain in France this summer.
The skilful winger has been subject of speculation with a move this summer, with Barcelona keen on signing the Dutchman.
Depay returned to domestic action in blistering form on Friday night, as the Ligue 1 season recommenced with Lyon facing Dijon.
During a post-match interview, Depay said:
‘I do not see the future, I do not know if I will do the full season here.
‘I have been here for four years, I became captain.
‘After you have to look at your career, there is no Champions League. At the moment I don’t know.’
The striker has been heavily linked with Barcelona in recent weeks, following the appointment of his fellow Dutchman Ronald Koeman as new manager.
Koeman left his post as coach of the Holland national team, where he worked closely with Depay, in order to take on the role at the Nou Camp.
Koeman has inherited a crisis club and rapidly needs to turn things around, with Barca set for a mass clear-out this summer in order to rebuild.
