Champions of Europe! Bayern beat PSG 1-0 to lift this year’s UEFA Champions League

Bayern beat PSG 1-0 to win UEFA Champions League.

It was down to the last two sides in this year’s Champions League – the French Champions coming up the German Champions.

Both sides one trophy away from sealing a season treble.

The match began with Bayern playing their high-pressing style that has seen them breeze past teams, while PSG opted to capitalize on the German’s high-line defence and use the pace of their attacking trio of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria.

Both sides enjoyed equal chances infront of goal with goalkeepers Keylor Navas and Manuel Neuer being called to action time after time.

A header by Kingsley Coman past Keylor Navas in the second half gave the Germans the win against PSG

On target was Kingsley Coman who was started ahead of Ivan Perisic. In the pre-match conference, Coman stated that it would not be ‘odd’ going against his former side having left Paris six years ago. And indeed it was not as he wheeled away in celebration after netting the only goal of the match.

Despite enjoying the better chances in the first half, PSG was not able to get one past the German goalkeeper who has a night to remind his critics that he was still arguably the best of them all.

At the blow of the full-time whistle, Bayern Munich players and staff ran into the pitch in celebration.

Tears in the eyes of the French side. They had failed, again.
