LA Lakers lose to Portland Trail Blazers on the first play-off match.

Lebron James’ LA Lakers were left stunned by the Blazers as they lost Game 1 of their play-off match.

The Lakers lost 100-93 to go down 1-0 in the best-of-seven series – with Game 2 on Thursday in the Orlando bubble.

The match was James’ first play-off appearance with the Lakers since joining them in the 2018 off-season.

Damian Dillard inspired Portland Blazers to inflict a shocking defeat to LA Lakers in the first play-off match on Tuesday

The Lakers finished top of the Western Conference and are among the heavy favorites to win the NBA title this season.

But their quest to do so in the post-season took a dent on Tuesday as the eighth-seeded Portland were inspired by their All-Star point guard Damian Lillard as he scored 34 points.

James had 23 points, 17 rebounds and 16 assists, becoming the first player to have as many points, rebounds and assists in the play-offs. It was his 24th post-season triple-double and his assists were a career playoff high.

The two sides meet again on Thursday for Game 2.
