Lewis Hamilton cruised to win the Spanish Grand Prix, leading from start to finish.

The impressive display sent the Brit above Michael Schumacher to the most podiums in F1 history.

The result was the 156th Grand Prix podium of his career in just his 256th race, with Schumacher only recording 155 in his career.

Red Bull’s Verstappen took the second spot ahead of Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas who took third.

Though Hamilton led every single lap from pole position and clinched the victory with ease.

The focus for Hamilton now turns to Schumacher’s record for all-time race wins of 91. The victory in Spain was the 88th in the 35-year-old’s illustrious career so far.

The Mercedes driver now has a 37 point lead over Verstappen in the overall table as he looks to clinch a seventh world championship.

Schumacher also won seven world titles in his career, which will be playing on Hamilton’s mind the further the season goes on.
