Immobile has been in sensational form this season, scoring 35 times in 36 games in the league

The Italian forward is four goals ahead of Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo and will be looking to carry the league’s golden boot.

Ancelotti is said to believe that rebuilding at Everton is a bigger job then he initially thought and is keen to bring in several new additions ahead of next season.

Immobile, who is contracted at Lazio until 2023, would be a huge coup for Everton given his recent scoring record.

Everton boss Ancelotti believes adding goals to his team would go some way to solving the issues following a disappointing campaign which saw them finish 12th – their lowest since the 2003-04 Premier League season.

The Merseyside have been short in goal scoring options and have relied on goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison who were Everton’s joint-top scorers in the Premier League this term with 15.

Everton are also set to revive their bid to sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha after failing last summer
